There is something special about summer on Eagle Lake.

Maybe it’s the sight of colorful sails dotting the horizon or the laughter of children learning to sail for the very first time. Whatever it is, summer at Eagle Lake seems to slow time down and remind us of what matters most—family, friends, community, and the simple joy of being on the water.

For more than 60 years, Eagle Lake Sailing Club has been bringing people together through a shared love of sailing. What began as a group of passionate sailors has grown into a vibrant community where members of all ages come to learn, compete, volunteer, connect, and enjoy everything that lake life has to offer.

On any summer weekend, you’ll find activity around the club grounds. Sailors prepare their boats for afternoon races. Families gather on the beach. Junior sailors launch their boats with excitement and determination. New friendships are formed while old friends reconnect over a meal after a day on the water.

Sailing is at the heart of what we do, but the club is about much more than racing. It’s about teaching young sailors confidence and independence. It’s about helping a fellow member rig a boat before a race. It’s about celebrating victories, laughing through mishaps, and sharing sunsets that never seem to get old.

Our Junior Sailing program introduces the next generation to the sport, creating experiences that often become lifelong passions. Many of today’s members first stepped into a sailboat as children at Eagle Lake and now return with children and grandchildren of their own.

Throughout the summer, the club comes alive with regattas, social events, cookouts, and gatherings that bring our community together. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or someone who has never stepped aboard a sailboat, there is a place for you here.
